This weekend, I fired up The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, the new Western from the Coen Brothers. While a great film, it was an exhausting affair.

I’m a fan of the Coen Bros, and also a fan of Westerns, but I was reluctant to watch The Ballad of Buster Scruggs for this very reason, I didn’t see any Native or Black people in the trailer. (I also wasn’t sure if it was a drama or a comedy. Knowing the Coens it’s probably uncomfortably both.)
