  1. “Michael B. Jordan coming through like the angriest member of B2K ever”

Lol,Fizz, Omari, Raz and BooG would never.
I have to say Michael is the only thing that bothers me about this movie. His outfit is too modern and kinda basic. Not feeling the hair either, I would have pefered it to be closer to the comic book character, and as an African woman, I have to say they went way overboard with the tribal scarring to the point that his chest is hard to look at.

Now to be honest, this negativity might be the result of my disdain for Michael and his misogynoiristic colorist comments… I love this movie already. I’m so happy it’s being done and I will support it with everything I have! ;).

    1. Yes, I don’t follow him all Michael all like that so I dont know what he’s done. I’ve found that I’m not greatly interested too much in what actors say. I’m only interested i nthe roles they play for hte most part.
Yeah, those scars are really stomach churning to look at. I think they makeup people got overexcited. A hnadful I can understand butthat many just looks really really painful.

It’s certainly a more peaceful way to enjoy entertainment.

I constantly cancel shows, movies, actors and artists over racist comments. Not caring about what actors say would have alowed me to continue to be a fan of Supernatural but I had to cancel it afer I cancelled Jensen. No show is safe, not even my all-time favorite when an actor shows his ass as far as I’m concerned. Dumped Empire and Power too. GIVE US FREE lol.

      2. From time to time some news wil lcome to me about smething someone did or said, and I have to cancel, like the guy from Empire for example. But mostly I cancel a show because its hard to enjoy the show without thinking about whatever fuck up that person did. I heard briefly about what Jensen and Padalecki said, but Ive invested too much of my leisure time in Supernatural to dump it now just because they’re being assholes. When the show is over I’l cancel them both.

That’s also my approach. I was always aware of Lee Daniels’ problematic comments. I gave Empire 3 years before one “hoodrat” and “black bitch” too many no longer allowed me to forget that the show was the brainchild of a man who compared a clinic full of Black woman to a welfare’s office and kept coming every six months with a new, equally offensive and misogynoristic comment.

Gave Power years until the bias in the writing against the Black wife versus the White Latina mistress became too blatant for me to ignore that the show was the brainchild of violently misogynoiristic 50 cent. I could no longer stick it out to support Naturi Naughton (who suffered from racism and colorism in her singing group 3LW as a darker skinned woman) after that, even if he was my main reason for watching, in addition to the Black female showrunner, who showed herself to be ignorant as well this year.

As for Spn, the Js have been on probation for a coule of years. I don’t ever cancel at the first offense. Like you, it’s when it becomes impossible to watch the character without remebering about the actor’s nonesense. It only happened a few days ago for me when it comes tp Dean Winchester.

My motto has always been that entertainment should be at least 51% fun. Once it goes below 50, time to move on.
I completely understand that the threashold is different for everybody. As long as anybody’s enjoying themselves, I say go for it! Most of our faves are problematic if you dig deep enough lol.
