I greet you today, but not from a happy place. No. Instead, I’m greeting you from a very pissed off and horrified place. And you wanna know why that is? Well, look no further than two words:

Indeed, if you were on the internet at all this past week, you probably heard the story of should-be sex offender Dani Mathers. And if you didn’t, here’s a recap:
2015 Playboy Playmate of the Year Dani Mathers recently found herself Taylor-Swifting across eight lanes to antagonize an unnamed fat woman in the locker room of an LA Fitness gym. To elaborate, the aforementioned woman was minding her own damned business, trying to get her fitness and her hygiene on by taking a damned shower.

Geeking Out about It 
I feel so horrible for that lady. What a terrible violation. I hope she’s doing okay and that this won’t lead her to avoid certain spaces because she feels unsafe. This is atrocious 😦

That was one of my concerns too. Who she is and how is she taking this, if she knows about it? My heart goes out to her. I’ve had my privacy violated by strangers in public too (not that badly tho’) and know what it feels like.
My other concern was all those people who will want to go to the gym but will call it off because of this experience. That gym needs to protect its bottom line, because not only was what she did illegal, it could affect people going to their gyms, if they don’t come down hard on her.
Another question I had was, isn’t she like 29 years too old for that kind of shit? That is an incredibly juvenile and stupid thing is o do even for a teenager. She’s a grown ass woman and not one damn thought occurred to her about NOT doing that.

I’m willing to bet that she knows. With all the noise around it, anyone who goes to that gym would have checked to see if they were in the picture.

Based on the article, they expelled her from the 300+ gyms of the franchise. I also believe there should be regulations about filming other people in these vulnerable places/positions. That’s how gyms are really going to protect their bottom lines, by ensuring patrons that they won’t be filmed while they’re sweaty, limping on the treadmill, looking like a wet noodle in the sauna or naked in the shower.

I mostly think she’s one of those skinny, shallow people who make it their personal mission to bully larger individuals because in her mind, they’re asking for it and should lose weight if they don’t want to open themselves to judgement and shaming. She sounds like those “put down the fork” jackasses 😦 😦 Sigh.
