There are so many people expressing thoughts and feelings about the shooting in Orlando, that I decided, rather than write about them myself, I’d let the people most affected by what happened express this for themselves.
I also want to take the time to make the pledge to all my readers that my blog will always be a safe space for LGBTQ+ , all PoC, anyone who has a disability, or is neurotypical, anyone, to express their feelings on any subject, at any time, any way they please. You will not be tone-policed, you will not get the gaslighting, or minimizing, or hand-waving treatment here. This is an intersectional space for all marginalized people to express themselves.
*That’s my pledge.
That said, I do recognize the importance of self care. I urge all of you most affected by what occurred in Orlando to please, take especial care of yourselves. Do something that calms and pleases you when you get overwhelmed. Take a break from the internet, cry, take a nap, take a stretch or some yoga, eat some comfort foods, whatever it takes to help you decompress. One cannot hold such a level of tension in the heart and mind for too long, or it will begin to physically manifest. So this advice is not just for mental peace of mind, decompression is important for physical well being, too. I urge you.

In association with the music boxes, may I add Madeon’s Adventure Machine. You don’t have to be a fan to have some fun with this thing.
I also have found great calming (oddly) from playing Sushi Cat and its sequels, available for free on Armor Games: http://armorgames.com/play/5379/sushi-cat
It’s free, very cute, has cute music and animations, and is oddly meditative. Yes, I spent 3 hours on the bathroom floor playing it once during a very anxious family visit.
i think we all need this today
I always find rhythm games really relaxing. Theatrhythm, Symphonica and Voez are all have very different music styles.
